Abstract: A study in the use of electronic and multimedia resources in second language acquisition by students of Japanese as a foreign language, how they are used and the general attitudes of the students toward the resources and their perceived usefulness, looking at three areas, computer based resources (online dictionaries, translators, reading tools, reading material, and PC script support), handheld electronic dictionaries (Denshi Jishō) and audio/visual resources.
